What does an Nx Witness licence cost?
An Nx Witness Professional recording licence costs €137.49 excl. VAT per camera with us, against our regular price of €154.55. Buy 10 or more and another 5% comes off all licences. There are no monthly fees, and an extra server needs no extra licence, because you pay per camera.

Which VAT applies depends on where your company is based. In the Netherlands we charge 21%. With a valid EU VAT number outside the Netherlands the VAT is reverse charged. Outside the EU we charge no Dutch VAT.

What exactly do you get with an Nx Witness licence?
One licence is one recording channel, which in practice means one camera. Twenty cameras is twenty licences. The licence belongs to your system, not to a single machine.
One-off, no monthly fees
You buy a Professional licence once. It does have limits: up to 10 years, and you can move it to other hardware about 3 times. That covers a normal server replacement, not a yearly shuffle.
Shared across all your servers
Adding a second server because you run out of disk space or processing power? Your licences simply keep working. You never buy a server licence, only channels.

After you order
What happens after you place your order?
- You receive the invoice right away. As a PDF in your inbox, with the invoice number as payment reference.
- You pay by bank transfer in euros. Within the SEPA area you can scan the QR code with your banking app. From elsewhere, use the IBAN and BIC on the invoice.
- We send the licence codes. As soon as the payment arrives, you receive the codes by email with instructions for activation, wherever you are.
- You activate them on your server. With internet access you just enter the code. Offline activation works too. Stuck? Call us and we will take a look with you.

What people ask before ordering licences
Can I order from outside the Netherlands?
Yes. Licences can be ordered from any country: after payment we email the licence codes. If your company is in the EU, enter your VAT number; when it is valid, the VAT is reverse charged. Outside the EU we charge no Dutch VAT. Servers, disks and cameras can be shipped abroad too, but then you first receive a quote including shipping.
Can I cancel or return licences?
No. A licence is issued in your company’s name and delivered right after payment, so you can activate it straight away. That makes an order for licences final: cancelling, returning, exchanging or refunding is not possible, even if the licence has not been activated yet. You confirm this when you order. Can I buy a single licence?
Yes. There is no minimum order. Added one camera? Then you buy one licence, at €137.49 excl. VAT.
How does the discount from 10 licences work?
Buy 10 or more licences in one order and 5% comes off all of them, not only the ones above nine. For 10 licences that saves €68.75 excl. VAT on top of the online price.
How long is an Nx Witness licence valid?
A Professional licence is a one-off purchase without monthly fees. It is limited to 10 years, and it can be moved to other hardware about 3 times. The licence is tied to the hardware ID of the server; a new motherboard also counts as a move.
Does a second server need extra licences?
No. Licences are shared across all servers in the same system. You pay per camera, not per server.
Do you sell to consumers?
No, we only sell to businesses. That is why we ask for your company registration number, and for a VAT number within the EU.
Can you help with activation or setup?
Yes. Most people activate the licences themselves. If you want us to look along remotely, or to set up the server, cameras and user rights, we plan that in, also when the system was bought elsewhere. Installation on site we do in the Netherlands and the border region.
