About nxwitness.nl
nxwitness.nl is the Nx Witness department of CameraInstallatie.nl, a security company based in Almere, the Netherlands. We have been installing and maintaining cameras, alarms, intercoms and access control since 1999, and we are a partner of Network Optix, the company behind Nx Witness. We sell the licences, build the servers and stay reachable once the system is running. That works from the Netherlands, and it works for buyers in other countries too.

Short answer
Who is behind nxwitness.nl?
A reseller, an installer and an Nx Witness specialist in one company. You can buy a single licence from us, a complete server, or have a system with hundreds of cameras across dozens of sites designed and managed.
We are not part of Network Optix, and we are not a shop that only emails licence keys. In most projects the licence is the smallest part of the work. The rest is a server that fits, a network that can carry the streams, permissions that make sense and someone who answers when something goes wrong. For Nx Witness, technical support runs through the partner who supplied the licence. If you buy from us, that partner is us.
What we do
What do we install and manage?
Cameras
Advice, supply and mounting, indoors and outdoors. Existing cameras from other brands can usually stay.
Video management
Nx Witness as our standard, with Milestone XProtect or Genetec where they fit better.
Servers and storage
Built to order and tested before they leave the building, with a retention period you can explain to an auditor.
Network and cabling
A separate network segment for cameras, PoE switches and the cable itself. A stable system starts there.
Alarm, intercom and access
Those systems too, with personal accounts and linked to the camera image where that helps.
Licence plate recognition
For barriers, yards and searching by plate, with cameras placed for that job.
Maintenance and management
Updates, accounts, alerts and a yearly check. Also for systems we did not install.
NIS2 and ISO
The part of the law and the standard that covers your security systems, from advice to the actual changes.
Integrations
With access control, alarm, intercom and other software, through the Nx Witness API.
International
Who buys from us outside the Netherlands?
Businesses, integrators and resellers anywhere in the world, except in countries under sanctions. Licences are digital, servers we ship, and setup and support we do remotely.
- Licences worldwide. Nx Witness licences can be bought from us wherever you are, with the exception of sanctioned countries. You can order them online.
- EU businesses: reverse charge. With a valid VAT number you get an invoice with VAT reverse charged. We check the number in the European VIES system before we invoice.
- Outside the EU: no Dutch VAT. Buyers outside the European Union are invoiced without Dutch VAT.
- Larger orders and resellers. Buying a larger number of channels, or buying as an integrator or reseller for your own customers? Then we work with a quote, so the order, the licence types and the delivery match your project.
- Servers from Almere. We build and test servers in Almere and ship them on request, wherever the system has to run.
- Remote setup and support. Configuration, updates, user rights and troubleshooting we do remotely. That covers most of the work on a running system.
- On-site work. Our own engineers work in the Netherlands and the border region. Elsewhere, we work with a local installer of your choice or one we find together, and we take care of the technical side.
Running sites in several countries is where this matters most. One system, one set of licences and one point of contact for the technology, while the hands on site are local. How that works for many locations is on central management, and what NIS2 asks of your security systems is on NIS2 and video surveillance. Integrators bidding on a tender can start from the requirements matrix we fill in for integrators.

Founded the company and sets the course for nxwitness.nl. Gets involved in switches to Nx Witness and in migrations, especially when many sites are involved.
John van den Bosch
Looks after the business side: agreements, continuity and the larger projects with government and companies.

Questions about nxwitness.nl
Is nxwitness.nl part of Network Optix?
No. We are an independent partner of Network Optix and part of CameraInstallatie.nl. Network Optix develops the software. We supply it, install it and support it, and for licences bought from us we are your point of contact for technical support.
Can I buy licences from you if my company is outside the Netherlands?
Yes, from anywhere in the world except countries under sanctions. EU businesses with a valid VAT number, checked in VIES, receive an invoice with VAT reverse charged. Outside the EU we invoice without Dutch VAT.
Can you install a system in another country?
Our own engineers work in the Netherlands and the border region. For other countries we ship a tested server, set up the software remotely and work with a local installer for the cameras and cabling. We handle the design, the configuration and the support afterwards.
Do you support systems you did not supply?
Yes. We take over existing Nx Witness systems, also when the original installer can no longer be reached. We first establish that the system is yours, then check what is installed, which version runs and whether the licences cover every camera.
