Licence terms

These terms apply when you buy software licences, such as Nx Witness licences, through nxwitness.nl. The key point up front: a licence is issued in your company’s name and delivered immediately, so an order for licences is final.

1. Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to the sale of software licences through nxwitness.nl by CameraInstallatie.nl, Verfmolenstraat 4, 1333 AV Almere, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 34139868. They supplement the general terms and conditions of CameraInstallatie.nl (in Dutch). Where those general terms say something different about licences, these terms prevail. In case of a difference between this English text and the Dutch version, the Dutch version prevails.

2. Business customers only

We only sell licences to companies and organisations buying for their business or profession. That is why we ask for your company registration number, and within the EU for your VAT number.

3. Delivery

After we receive your payment, we email the licence code. The licence is issued in the name of the ordering company and is intended for activation on that company’s system. Sending the code completes delivery.

4. Purchase is final

Because a licence is issued in your name and can be activated straight away, an order for licences is binding as soon as you place it. Cancelling, returning, exchanging or refunding is not possible, even if the licence has not been activated yet. This also applies to licences included with a server.

The right of rescission in article 9 of the general terms of CameraInstallatie.nl does not apply to licences.

You confirm this with a separate tick box when ordering. The invoice and confirmation email state it again, with the moment you confirmed it.

5. If you buy as a consumer after all

If you do not buy for a business, a right of withdrawal normally applies to digital content. With the tick box in your order you expressly agree that we deliver the licence immediately after payment, and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, article 6:230p(g) of the Dutch Civil Code). We confirm this on the invoice.

6. A code that does not work

If a licence code we delivered does not work, contact us on +31 36 52 90 007 and we will provide a working code. This is not a cancellation or return.

7. Use of the software

Use of the software is subject to the manufacturer’s licence terms. What a licence does and does not cover is explained on our Nx Witness licences page.
